Leah Shoshanah Earth-Folk Ensemble
The Leah Shoshanah Earth-Folk Ensemble is a dynamic collective that blends original compositions with adaptations of songs from the rich traditions across the Earth— Brazilian, Jewish (Sephardic, Maghrebi), and American folk music. With a rotating ensemble of talented vocalists and musicians, the group features a diverse array of instruments—including percussion (tabla, drums, darbuka), guitar, oud, double bass, accordion, and flute—to create a sound that is both globally inspired and rooted in the story-telling tradition of folk music.
The ensemble’s performances weave together music and storytelling, drawing from the themes of the seasons, the human experience, and the world at large. Each concert is an invitation to journey across cultures and history, or down deep into the roots of the Earth. Through their performances, the Leah Shoshanah Earth-Folk Ensemble creates a space where music becomes a powerful tool for connection, reflection, and collective growth.
